Hourglass Gauntlets H 14th Century Steel with Leather Gloves
Inspired by originals from the 14th century, these hourglass gauntlets offer exceptional wrist mobility, authentic styling, and battle-ready durability for your LARP or reenactment persona.
These hourglass gauntlets are a faithful homage to 14th-century originals, modeled after pieces like those seen on the effigy of the Black Prince at Canterbury Cathedral. Their broad cuffs offer greater wrist flexibility, ideal for knights wielding longswords with precision and strength.
Each gauntlet is painstakingly handmade from 16-gauge mild steel and stitched to genuine suede leather gloves for enhanced grip and comfort. The shape provides excellent protection without sacrificing movement, making them a top choice for historical reenactors and LARP combatants alike.
Upon arrival, you may notice a thin protective coating of oil—this is intentional and easily removed. It helps prevent rust during shipping and storage.
The clang of steel echoes through the narrow streets as knights gather in the shadow of the citadel. Among them strides a seasoned warrior, gauntlets gleaming beneath the overcast sky. Crafted in the hourglass style of the Black Prince himself, these gauntlets mark him as no mere foot soldier—but a living echo of chivalry and conquest.
These gauntlets are perfect for veteran knights, noblemen-at-arms, and seasoned mercenaries from the Hundred Years’ War era. Whether in a reenactment of Crécy or commanding troops on a fantasy battlefield, they lend gravitas and mobility to your portrayal.
