About Refurbished Items : A weapon is declared refurbished when, following a standard inspection by Calimacil, it does not reach the expected esthetical level. A refurbished weapon will have the same security level as a standard Calimacil weapon but may have some lower quality result on painting, forms or other. This type of weapon is covered by a one year warranty on manufacturing defects that can result in the weapon breaking or being unsafe. It will however not cover the visual aspect of the product like the warranty on our regular items.
Siege was upon us. Year after year, our stockpile of food was shrinking, and our morale followed. However, the worst news was our iron stockpile. After quite some time forging new heavy maces our soliders used to break through the ennemy's armour, we had almost none left, and going on the battlefield to scavenge some weapons was suicidal. That's when Pierre le Grand had a strange idea. All listened. He said we should make star-shaped maces, that would take much less iron to forge. Their points would pass through the ennemy's armour, while the weight of the weapon would do the rest of the job. We tried it, and to everyone's surprise, it worked. The ennemy, waiting for our surrender, was amazed at our will to fight, so much that their troops lost the will to hold a city that was as stubborn as us. We got peace, and these maces became the symbol of our city, of our will.
Great product, super realistic looking, great weight. Bought mine refurbished and it came unpainted on the handle but I fixed that no problem with some model acrylic paints. All and all, very satisfied.
The paint is slightly darker and with less color saturation (refurbished), but that was to be expected. A very sturdy design, can last very tough battle, doesnt hurt the opponent on the receiving end too much unlike other mace designs because of it's very flexible yet sturdy winglets. It is fun to handle around and it can fit in even the most simple ring scabbards, easy to carry around and cheap for the overall quality of the product. Would recommend to any LARPers who wants a good a reliable weapons that will last probably longer than your LARP carreer.
