Legend

We all are part of this great and beautiful army. Fighting off the invasions of dire creatures, finding traitors to the crown, and keeping the peace in the kingdom, we are all but one arm, united for a cause. This is why all our swords were forged the same. With our rigorous training and years of experience, our gear makes us the perfect symbol of peace and righteousness, even beyond our lands. Maybe my name won’t be remembered, but each one of us is a page in the history of our kingdom.

Workshop

The Novice II is the natural evolution of the first generation of this Squire sword. Always made of safe Calimacil foam, this sword will give you years of good use thanks to its unrivaled durability. The guard of the sword is now steel-colored and the handle is black. The blade stays silver-colored to make a unique and incredibly realistic sword.

Characters

Great for a first sword, the Novice II is extremely adaptable to every type of character. From the simple soldier to the terrifying demon, even nimble fighters and wise mages can use the simple efficiency of this sword to their advantage.

This sword was my introduction to Calimacil. I bought this blade 7 years ago, and it has stayed a permanent part of my dueling equipment.

I bought this blade and quickly bought a another sword and my addiction was sealed. I have since had a nephew born and he is finally old enough to hold this sword and often does as it is his favorite sword.

We are a very intense dueling family, my siblings, parents, and now both of my nephews and all that has affected this sword is the paint wearing off in certain spots.

There is no bad product calimacil makes and this is a wonderful start or addition for any collection!

What a workhorse

I've been LARPing fortnightly for near or 5 years and I've only used the Cali Novice Bastard.
It's a fighters sword, no frills to the design and will survive just about anything, it's balanced well and not too heavy.
I will probably never use another sword for my primary weapon.

Wonderful to wield

This sword is so normal looking, but the hilt is the most comfortable I have felt on a LARP weapon. The oblong shape of the grip is pleasant to hold, and while there the length of the handle leaves my hand with breathing room, (unlike say, the Solin) it doesn't slip up through my fist when fighting as other weapons do. Speaking of the pommel, I love its simplicity, and it adds a small counterweight to the typically tip-heavy Calimacil weapon.

Perfect for training

I love this sword it is perfect for traning. I have a wooden post I use for training and my wooden and plastic swords get damaged when training and with metal I don't hit as hard as I can so I don't break the sword or the post, but with the Novice II I don't have to worry about that. The foam on the sword is sturdy, durable, but still soft. I can feel free to let loose and go crazy with this sword without worry of damaging anything whither its the sword, the post, or anyone nearby. I am definitely purchasing another one of these when I can get the money to do so.
